Cat Spirit 23! [Action]

[With ~spooky~ changes comes ~spooky~ behavior. Well, not really. This sort of hunting is par for the course with Tao.

All throughout today, there will be a catgirl here or there. There will be a catgirl anywhere, all over the village, trying to put her boundless energy to use. It's the thrill of the hunt! And her prey? ...Rats! And bats. And the occasional spider.

Because what better person/animal to take care of the rat problem than her? She's got to put those beastkin instincts to use sometime. Tao can be found zipping all over the village, taking off at full speed, running or on all fours, and chasing down rats in particular. Though if bats fly by your head, she'll go for them too. Spiders are fair game as well.

Point is, she's up and about trying to catch/hunt down these critters, and if you're in the way, better get out of it.]

Meow, meow, meow!? You get back heeeeeeeeeere!

Good thinking! They're a lot less gross than the spiders.

[And they have more meat and flesh on them- I mean.]

They're also more likely to have a decent taste.

And less eyes. We can always appreciate less eyes.

Uh-huh! It was...squiggly! It kept changing what shape it was, meow, and spit out bugs everywhere.

That sounds like a rather powerful monster...

It was pretty tough, but Tao beat it up for the sake of the Kaka village!

That's good to hear. Was anyone from your village hurt?

[She noticeably deflates at the mention of that.]

Some of the little ones got eaten before we could stop it, meow...

...Some of the little- heavens no.

[He sounds absolutely horrified.]

[She nods sadly. Even though the Arakune threat was relatively taken care of, just the memory of it sours her mood.]

Meow...

But those that remain are safe now, are they not?

That's right! Kakas like Torakaka and meow are gonna work hard to protect the village! And I'm gonna train so I'll be stronger than ever, so it won't happen again!

Good. With that sort of determination, the next creature to attack your home will stand no chance of victory.

[She hops up a little and starts shadowboxing, pumped up.]

Uh-huh! Tao's been training all this time so no bad guy will ever ruin the village or our napping spots ever again!

[All that enthusiasm makes him smile.]

Good napping spots are precious; protecting them is a worthy goal.

[She nods strongly.]

You can't sleep comfy without good napping spots!

Do beds not suffice, if only during the night?

Yeah, but during daytime, there's no better place to be than napping in a special spot in the sunshine!

The windowsills of a very quiet library are particularly good for that, at the right time of the day.

[Ah, the childhood memories.]

But Tao doesn't go to the library a lot...I like sleeping outside on the grass more, meow.

[She couldn't understand the appeal of sleeping in a library...then again, she can barely understand most of the books in one.]
