Cat Spirit 23! [Action]

[With ~spooky~ changes comes ~spooky~ behavior. Well, not really. This sort of hunting is par for the course with Tao.

All throughout today, there will be a catgirl here or there. There will be a catgirl anywhere, all over the village, trying to put her boundless energy to use. It's the thrill of the hunt! And her prey? ...Rats! And bats. And the occasional spider.

Because what better person/animal to take care of the rat problem than her? She's got to put those beastkin instincts to use sometime. Tao can be found zipping all over the village, taking off at full speed, running or on all fours, and chasing down rats in particular. Though if bats fly by your head, she'll go for them too. Spiders are fair game as well.

Point is, she's up and about trying to catch/hunt down these critters, and if you're in the way, better get out of it.]

Meow, meow, meow!? You get back heeeeeeeeeere!

[Oh my, would you look at that. Not only is there a paladin walking around the plaza, but there's a bat stuck in his pretty hair, trying to get away! He's doing his very best to untangle it, but it keeps wriggling and squirming, like the helpless prey it is. What could possibly go wrong with this situation?

...A word of warning, though: those spikes on his pauldrons are pretty sharp.]

Crow doesn't actually have that much interest in the sudden increase of rats and spiders and things--he saw enough of them back at home anyway, so instead he's actually attempting to spy on Tao once he notices her from where he's sitting on this roof. If Tao even notices during her attempts at chasing the rats right below us, that is.]

[Probably not yet...unless the bat she's chasing flies up to the same roof Crow's sitting on, like right now!

Tao perks up, and scrambles closer to the roof he's on, not quite realizing he's there yet.]

[Oh, a bat. Not quite as cool as crows. He swipes a hand at it to keep from flying too close to his face or anything--but now he's temporarily distracted and might not see Tao coming right away to try to pounce that bat herself.

[Brook just so happens to be one of those unlucky fellows who happened to be strolling by as Tao came barreling after one such rat. He notices her just in time to think to ask her a question... but not to actually get out of the way.]

[As Brook is sent tumbling from the collision, he tries to straighten his head back on.]

You know this is a first for me... normally I receive bodily harm after asking that question, not before. Yohohowww...

[She blinks a bit at the collision, because she certainly didn't expect to run into a mass of bones.]

[Fortunately, procuring food out of nowhere is normal for her, given that she does the same at times. Unfortunately, now is not one of those times.]

Long Not-so-long version: So he was just going to head out and look around at all the changes done by the day's shift. Of course, things don't always go as planned...and he is apparently so derped out that he doesn't realize he's in the path of a catgirl.

So that will probably lead to him getting pounced on if she doesn't take notice...and knowing Tao...um. Whoops...?

[The both of them are understandably disoriented after that...with her not really moving to get up yet. And the bat's getting away...!]

[Thankfully, Souji is enough of a distraction...because it's hard to concentrate when you just kind of ran full-speed into a bowlcut teenager.

...there goes the bat. Not that she's aware of it yet.]

[Well, this was new.

Not that she hadn't seen any aliens before, but catgirls weren't amongst the many races she'd known from her universe...so this new creature seemed to ping to Shepard's natural, overbearing curiosity about alien things that weren't Reapers. It gets her to stop in her tracks and turn to have a better look, making sure to stay out of her way.

Maybe if she watched it a little, she could figure out what kind of sentient life it most closely resembles...]

[Good thing she's staying out of Tao's way as she chases a bat to and fro. When it settles somewhere, she attempts to sneak up on it, tail swishing and ears twitching.]

Hmm. [Well, it's definitely not turian, nor is it batarian or krogan--the last of which would be really off the mark. Shepard trails it carefully, trying not to distract it until the bat goes flying off--

--or maybe she'll wind up scaring it away unintentionally? Who knows.]

[ Tenten doesn't notice Taokaka, but she does notice the rat whizzing past her. Tenten has a problem with these pests in general. Not only has it been hard to enjoy your home without a pack of rats rushing by, but they also seem to be nothing but a product of the Malnosso. Therefore, she doesn't really mind if rat just gets injured, which is why she tosses a quick shuriken to its back to just outright kill it.

Please, there's like a billion rats here. I can barely navigate around my apartment room without finding one. [ Taokaka kills a bunch of rats, Tenten doesn't have to deal with a bunch of rats and literally no one will lose in this agreement (except a bunch of rats). ]
