Cat Spirit 20! [Action]

For the rest of the week, Tao is carrying about some type of Kaka kitten doll with a movable mouth. Instead of her usual toothy smile, she won't visibly have a mouth. This makes her ventriloquist job kind of easy, because her real face is obscured all the time anyway.]

Tao doesn't know what a "ven-trill-o-kwist" is, but it's still fun for meow!

[Oh, and she's in the square all week practicing her ventriloquism, with her higher pitched voice and stuffing donuts in the doll's mouth (as well as her own, of course). Later in the week, she will attempt to placate the hankering for flesh she has with those donuts. Oh dear.]

[Norma's on her way to the market this morning, picking up some little things for the house (they're out of bread), and singing all the way; she doesn't care what that journal says. She has a great singing voice, so screw everyone else! Though her "singing" really is more like a demented bird (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_HoivrMe_Y&feature=related) than actual singing. Do enjoy that, Tao.

Thankfully, for everyone's ears, Norma's singing comes to a stop when she spots what...looks like a huge cat with a tinier cat on its lap. Wh-What even....

Hi, meow!

[She says while a donut is in her mouth. But not the doll's, because clearly that is where the voice is coming from.]

[Norma laughs brightly, crouching down toward the smaller of the weird looking kitties, waving toward it. Maybe it wasn't a bad kitty-thing. It seemed polite, at the least.]

Hey there! Nice to meet'cha!

Nice to meet you too, meow!

[She says while taking a bite of a donut. Manners what are manners]

[Oh, jeez...it was like meeting the Oresoren all over again. Way, way too cute. Norma laughs again, and mimics as she leans down toward the kaka plush.]

Meow! Who might you be, lil guy? And, uh...big guy, too.

The little one is Fluffy-kaka!

[Named after one of her fellow Kaka kittens back home.]

And Tao is Taokaka!

[Oh, goodness, this kitty is so cute! Friendly too, thankfully. Norma giggles, shaking the little doll's hand in greeting and saluting the bigger of the two. Taokaka and Fluffy-kaka, hm? Cuuute...]

[Even though it's hard to tell since you don't see her lips most of the time but HEY. She offers her kitten dummy.]

That would be PERFECT! [She takes the kitten and begins to practice with it a bit.] Wow, I've never seen one of these before! A cat dummy, I mean.

I forgot where I got it, but it's awesome anyway!

It's not every day you see a giant cat in the plaza eating doughnuts with a puppet on her paw.

But Kazooie has seen weirder things. So the first thing she asks is:]

Why the heck are you trying to feed a doll?

If the little one is gonna be Tao's mouth, Tao has to feed it.

[At least, that's what she understands about ventriloquy. ~TAO LOGIC~]

[Sadly, this is also what passes for logic for Kazooie.]

You mean you've got your mouth on that thing? [She is taking it a little too literally, though.] That's gotta be weird, having your mouth somewhere else!

I think that's what "ven-trill-o-kwy" is about, meow.

Sounds stupid! I'd rather keep my mouth on me.

[And most people would rather Kazooie keep her mouth on her, too. It's bad enough when it is.]

[Tao isn't the only one in the square today-- Emil is busy standing on the edge of the fountain and singing his heart out, regardless of whether the people passing by are paying him any attention or not.

This is clearly the best combination ever.]

That's right! You're good at that, meow. But what were you singing anyway?

Huh? Actually, I'm not really sure. I just felt like I knew that song for some reason.
