Cat Spirit 23! [Action]

[With ~spooky~ changes comes ~spooky~ behavior. Well, not really. This sort of hunting is par for the course with Tao.

All throughout today, there will be a catgirl here or there. There will be a catgirl anywhere, all over the village, trying to put her boundless energy to use. It's the thrill of the hunt! And her prey? ...Rats! And bats. And the occasional spider.

Because what better person/animal to take care of the rat problem than her? She's got to put those beastkin instincts to use sometime. Tao can be found zipping all over the village, taking off at full speed, running or on all fours, and chasing down rats in particular. Though if bats fly by your head, she'll go for them too. Spiders are fair game as well.

Point is, she's up and about trying to catch/hunt down these critters, and if you're in the way, better get out of it.]

[Shhhhh let them have their fantasies. And fighting's one of the only things she's good at, god bless.]

[Good, good.] What about treasure-hunting? Being able to search for and find valuable stuff is an important part of being a pirate too, you know.

Tao can do that too! Just leave it to meow!

[Even though her bounty hunting attempts fell quuuuuuuiiiiiite short—]

Oh really? Well, how about a test then? [In fact, this could be fun!] Think you could find something cool around here somewhere and then bring it back here to show me?

You know, like coins, jewels, artifacts or anything that looks particularly valuable--stuff like that.

Shiny things! Tao can find those!

[Oh boy! Shiny things can always distract her. And on that parting note, she'll jump up a little in excitement and quickly skedaddle off for a little bit without another word.

...Wow, waiting can get boring after a while. Hope she comes back soon before Crow gets bored and takes off or something.]

[Thankfully, she does, carrying it in her mouth no less!

[Oh right, she should probably get it out of her mouth first. Let her..."gently" make her teeth let go of it, leaving her paw outstretched with it.]

[Food counts as very valuable in her book.]

[He goes and takes it from her paw and gives it a once-over.]

Is that it? [Food has practically zero value to us...but the tinfoil is shiny, so he is removing that to look at more before handing the food back over to her.]

[She is quite pleased with that arrangement, eagerly biting into the meat (yep, it's just well-cooked meat/a rib) with her rather sharp teeth, and nodding.]

[Huh...he ends up folding up the tinfoil and putting it in his pocket for the moment.]

Well I guess that's a start, but weren't you able to find or spot anything else?

[She shakes her head.]

Everything else shiny was in the houses...and Boobie Lady always said not to go into people's houses without purr-mission.

[...You're kidding right?]

Why? They probably wouldn't even notice anything missing...

They've always noticed when Tao took food!

[...It was only a few incidents okay.]

Then don't always take food--if they're too busy worrying about their food, they probably won't care about any of their other shiny stuff being taken.

Yeah, exactly! Sometimes even pirates have to resort to distractions before they can get what they want!

That sounds hard...but Tao's a lot better at distracting people!

[Granted, she's not all too stealthy about stealing...but distracting is a-okay. (It helps that her entire existence distracts people.) What even.]

Yeah, I bet...I'm pretty good at both, but I suppose it could work if you did the distracting, and I could do the taking. You know, like...what's the word for it again?
