Cat Spirit 23! [Action]

[With ~spooky~ changes comes ~spooky~ behavior. Well, not really. This sort of hunting is par for the course with Tao.

All throughout today, there will be a catgirl here or there. There will be a catgirl anywhere, all over the village, trying to put her boundless energy to use. It's the thrill of the hunt! And her prey? ...Rats! And bats. And the occasional spider.

Because what better person/animal to take care of the rat problem than her? She's got to put those beastkin instincts to use sometime. Tao can be found zipping all over the village, taking off at full speed, running or on all fours, and chasing down rats in particular. Though if bats fly by your head, she'll go for them too. Spiders are fair game as well.

Point is, she's up and about trying to catch/hunt down these critters, and if you're in the way, better get out of it.]

Then what do you guys do for fun?

[Heh] Exploring and looking for treasure, of course! Claiming places you find as part of your territory and looting it of it's valuables is one of the key parts of becoming a successful pirate.

[OBVIOUSLY!]

[Whoaaaaaa. But...he's a crow! Crow. Upside-Down Guy. Whatever.]

You bet! In fact, I was the best pirate, back where I was from.

[Crow you were the only pirate. Or boy trying to act like one. Whatever.]

[Even though he was like the only pirate. Shhhh let him enjoy this moment.]

Did you train a lot?

Well, yeah. I've done a lot of exploring for a long while now and worked to get really good at finding things, so I can probably find just about any kind of hidden treasure that a place might be hiding... [Which is basically anything particularly shiny.] Plus, I even found and had my own base that had all the best stuff in it too. [Which was an abandoned amusement park...]

Ooh...that sounds super cool! Can I be a pirate too?

[From what he's read in his book, he's yet to come across a female pirate, so he's not sure if it's "allowed" or not. But he'll entertain the idea anyway.]

Well I don't know--think you got what it takes to be a pirate?

Weeeeeell, Tao's gonna be a strong Kaka warrior one day! Does that count?

Huh? What's a "Kaka warrior"?

[She sounds so proud of this...]

Really? [oooh] So what kind of stuff do Kaka warriors usually do?

Fight! We hunt things, and fight things, and protect the village from anyone who tries to hurt us or the little ones!

Oh... [Okay, that's pretty cool. Not that he'll quite admit it out loud.] Well, as a pirate, you hunt for treasure and you might have to fight off other pirates if they try to steal your treasure or if they attack your base and crew. Think you'd be able to do that?

[Crow what is the likelihood of this even happening...let alone you fighting other pirates...]

Ooh...yep! Tao's good at fighting!

[Shhhhh let them have their fantasies. And fighting's one of the only things she's good at, god bless.]

[Good, good.] What about treasure-hunting? Being able to search for and find valuable stuff is an important part of being a pirate too, you know.

Tao can do that too! Just leave it to meow!

[Even though her bounty hunting attempts fell quuuuuuuiiiiiite short—]

Oh really? Well, how about a test then? [In fact, this could be fun!] Think you could find something cool around here somewhere and then bring it back here to show me?

...What kind of cool thing?

You know, like coins, jewels, artifacts or anything that looks particularly valuable--stuff like that.

Shiny things! Tao can find those!

[Oh boy! Shiny things can always distract her. And on that parting note, she'll jump up a little in excitement and quickly skedaddle off for a little bit without another word.

...Wow, waiting can get boring after a while. Hope she comes back soon before Crow gets bored and takes off or something.]

[Thankfully, she does, carrying it in her mouth no less!
