Cat Spirit 23! [Action]

[With ~spooky~ changes comes ~spooky~ behavior. Well, not really. This sort of hunting is par for the course with Tao.

All throughout today, there will be a catgirl here or there. There will be a catgirl anywhere, all over the village, trying to put her boundless energy to use. It's the thrill of the hunt! And her prey? ...Rats! And bats. And the occasional spider.

Because what better person/animal to take care of the rat problem than her? She's got to put those beastkin instincts to use sometime. Tao can be found zipping all over the village, taking off at full speed, running or on all fours, and chasing down rats in particular. Though if bats fly by your head, she'll go for them too. Spiders are fair game as well.

Point is, she's up and about trying to catch/hunt down these critters, and if you're in the way, better get out of it.]

Meow, meow, meow!? You get back heeeeeeeeeere!

[Oh, a bat. Not quite as cool as crows. He swipes a hand at it to keep from flying too close to his face or anything--but now he's temporarily distracted and might not see Tao coming right away to try to pounce that bat herself.

[...1! With these two temporarily distracted by the same thing, it can only end in disaster.]

Mrow!

[...At least they don't go flying off the roof?]

[Yeah, at least. But now he's having to sit back up after having been knocked on his back thanks to a certain catgirl.]

[You watch where you're going, Crow! Even though you weren't going anywhere. It makes sense in her head, okay.]

It's the bat's fault!

Nuh-uh, you're the one at fault for smashing into us while chasing a stupid bat...

[Not that it actually hurt or anything, because it didn't. It's just the principle of the matter okay.]

Nuh-uh. It's the bat's fault for coming this way!

[...And there it flies away.]

...And now it's gone.

[At that, he shrugs as the bat flies off.]

Eh, good riddance.

[She lets out a disappointing, slightly whining noise, pouting as she does so.]

[Tao come on this isn't worth whining over.]

What's the big deal? It was just a bat.

[This is Tao. Everything is worth whining over.]

Now I have to go and find new prey for meow...

Why? It can't actually be that fun just to chase some dumb animals around the place.

[...Well, chasing animals like rats and spiders and bats, anyway.]

Someone has to get rid of them. And that's Tao!

[Well okay, but--] Why bother, it's not like they're even doing anything--I bet there was way more of them back where I'm from than the ones here.

Then you guys must've had a looooot.

[And besides, having lots of rats around is a problem, supposedly. Not to mention the spiders...those served to remind her Arakune.]

Yeah--I saw way more of them than I ever did any people.

[...Though that's because there practically were no other people, so of course it would seem like there were way more animals than there were humans. >_>]

[Technically the same held true for her, but she counts the Kakas as people, so...]

Did you see a lot of people?

[Shrug--the only people he ever really interacted with was Seto, and maybe one or two others, but they were ghosts ~~or the Merchant~~ so they don't count.]

Not really.

Only if you let it get boring. A lack of people shouldn't stop someone from being able to have fun.

Then what do you guys do for fun?

[Heh] Exploring and looking for treasure, of course! Claiming places you find as part of your territory and looting it of it's valuables is one of the key parts of becoming a successful pirate.

Did you train a lot?

Well, yeah. I've done a lot of exploring for a long while now and worked to get really good at finding things, so I can probably find just about any kind of hidden treasure that a place might be hiding... [Which is basically anything particularly shiny.] Plus, I even found and had my own base that had all the best stuff in it too. [Which was an abandoned amusement park...]
